Intercom is a customer messaging platform used for live chat and support. With Accelevents, you can embed your Intercom Messenger widget directly on your event landing page or Virtual Event Hub, using a custom script field built to support any third-party chat widget.
How the integration works
Accelevents doesn't have Intercom-specific setup fields. Instead, you paste your Intercom Messenger install script into the general-purpose Body Script field under Settings > Integrations, on either the Landing Page or Virtual Event Hub tab. This same field works for any live chat or chatbot tool, Intercom included.
A note on setup: this uses Accelevents' general custom script embed field, not an Intercom-specific configuration panel. You'll need your Intercom Messenger install snippet ready (available from Intercom under Settings > Channels > Messenger > Install) before pasting it in.
Not a purpose-built one. Accelevents provides a general custom script field that works with Intercom's standard Messenger install snippet, the same field used for any third-party chat or chatbot widget.
Copy your Intercom Messenger install script from Intercom under Settings > Channels > Messenger > Install, then paste it into Settings > Integrations > Add Custom Script for Landing Page (or Virtual Event Hub) in your Accelevents event, under Body Script.
Yes. The Landing Page and Virtual Event Hub each have their own Body Script field, so you can add the same Messenger script to one or both.
No. Accelevents doesn't pass registrant or attendee data to Intercom automatically. The widget behaves the same as it would on any website, using whatever identity verification or data setup you've configured on Intercom's side.
In Intercom, go to Settings > Channels > Messenger > Install and copy the code snippet for your installation method.
